In 2026, the Riga East Clinical University Hospital’s “Latvian Oncology Centre” (LOC) began the renovation and redevelopment of its treatment departments and shared-use areas. The project covers the refurbishment of facilities across ten floors, with a total area of 23,340 m². The extensive redevelopment project forms part of the development of healthcare infrastructure and the modernisation of oncology services, creating a more modern, functional and high-quality environment for patients and medical staff.
As part of the project, SIA ThermoWhite Baltic is providing the thermal insulation solution using the ThermoWhite system. The seamless insulation technology enables the creation of a uniform and continuous insulation layer, making it particularly suitable for renovation projects with complex structural configurations and multiple engineering utilities. The ThermoWhite solution helps improve the building’s thermal performance and forms an important part of the overall technical solution for the building’s renovation.
The Latvian Oncology Centre was built in 1984 in accordance with the design and construction requirements of the time. At the time of its opening, the centre was considered one of the most modern hospitals in Latvia. More than four decades later, the building’s infrastructure is undergoing extensive renovation to adapt it to modern healthcare requirements and the needs of patients
