As part of the project “Development of Infrastructure for the Implementation of Control Services’ Functions in Kundziņsala”, a new infrastructure complex meeting modern requirements was developed in Riga. The facility provides the necessary conditions for the operations of several state control services, including the State Revenue Service, State Border Guard, Food and Veterinary Service, and the Customs Control Point of the Freeport of Riga.
A key part of the project was the development of high-quality and efficient thermal insulation for the buildings. ThermoWhite insulation technology was used to create a continuous, monolithic insulation layer without joints. This technology is particularly well suited to construction projects with complex configurations and a high concentration of engineering utilities, as the material adapts to different surfaces and structural shapes, helping to minimise the risk of heat loss.
The project included site assessment, preparation of construction design documentation in a 3D BIM environment, author’s supervision, BIM model updates during construction, as well as construction works and the supply and installation of the necessary equipment.
The development of the Kundziņsala complex represents an important investment in modern, functional and efficient infrastructure, providing state control services with suitable facilities for carrying out their daily operations.
The use of ThermoWhite technology in this project demonstrates the system’s suitability for complex infrastructure projects where high-quality, continuous thermal insulation is required around structures and engineering utilities.
