A major mixed-use development, “Preses Nama Kvartāls”, is currently being developed at 2 Balasta Dambis in Riga by Lithuanian real estate developer “Lords LB Asset Management”. With total planned investments of approximately €500 million, the project is being implemented in several development phases, creating a new complex of office, residential, commercial and public spaces on the left bank of the Daugava River.
As part of the project, SIA ThermoWhite Baltic provided the thermal insulation solution using the ThermoWhite system. The seamless insulation technology enables the creation of a uniform and continuous insulation layer, which is particularly important in large-scale and technically complex construction projects. ThermoWhite material adapts to the shape of the structure and allows insulation to be efficiently installed even in areas with multiple engineering utilities and complex configurations.
The first phase of the project includes the development of an 11-storey Class A business centre with a total area of more than 26,000 m². The building is designed to accommodate approximately 2,500 professionals and is being developed in accordance with high energy-efficiency and sustainability standards, including BREEAM “Excellent” requirements. The project incorporates modern engineering solutions, an open-plan layout and extensive opportunities for natural daylight. The opening of the business centre is planned for 2026.
The use of the ThermoWhite solution in the “Preses Nama Kvartāls” project is another example of the system’s application in large-scale commercial construction, where high-quality, continuous and efficient thermal insulation plays an important role.
